About Artwork

Hunter (oil pastel on black paper) is a nocturnal landscape with a nude male figure set beneath a flowering tree. Bright pink blossoms fill the upper frame, while the hillside behind rolls into deep green shadow. The figure stands near the trunk in profile, head lowered, body rendered with layered golds, oranges, blues, and violets that make the skin feel lit by reflected color rather than direct light.

This piece works beautifully in a space where you want intimacy with edge: bedroom, studio, or a quiet hallway. From across the room you read the silhouette of figure + tree; closer in, the color complexity in the skin and foliage becomes the reward.
