About Artwork
In Kiss, the background drops into black jeans texture, turning the canvas into a stage for a single act of closeness. The figures are built from small, separate touches of oil paint, pointillist skin that refuses to settle into one tone. Pinks and violets fracture into blues and lemons; edges shimmer; the bodies feel present, then shifting, as if the image is made of moments rather than of marble.

Frequently Asked Questions
Below them, flowers arrive in a steadier voice. Petals and stems are painted more realistically, with forms you can name and follow. They do not soften the scene; they sharpen it. If flowers are the classic symbol of impermanence, here they underline that the kiss is also transient - beautiful, immediate, already on its way to becoming memory.
The painting sits in a lineage from post-impressionist color and modern figurative intimacy, but it stays contemporary in what it insists on: tenderness between men as a subject worthy of scale and seriousness.
A Jungian angle is there if you want it: two profiles meeting at the threshold, a brief union of opposites - self and other - before separation.
