Seven pastel drawings created on September 25th in Sacramento, CA.
My first drawing session after the long pandemic break and my first experience with mocha colored Daler-Rowney pastel paper. The gamma is darker than I used to work with. The new paper creates new approaches to merge bodies into a space of drawing. I liked working with erasers to remove overloaded fragments, to allow the artwork to “breath” and to retain the freshness of a 20-minute drawing.
